I'm traveling with a 3 year old and a 6 year old. When we get off the Disney Dream in the morning of Febuary, 2012, we will have a significant wait until we need to be at the airport for a 6:10pm flight. Any suggestions on things to do in Port Canavaral?

    Hi, Jennifer!

All Disney cruise guests must be off the ship before 9 a.m. on Debarkation Day, but since you have a late flight out, I recommend lingering as long as possible.  Then, take your time claiming your luggage in the terminal and making your way through US Customs.  Once you're out of the terminal, you could take a cab to some sights in the area such as Cocoa Beach or  NASA"s Kennedy Space Center. However, my family and I like to take a cab or private car service (with prior reservations) to Downtown Disney to enjoy a fun lunch, shopping and sight seeing before we head back to the airport.

Alternatively, you could make late breakfast reservations for a character meal at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort, at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian or another resort.  You'll just need to make sure you're off the ship in a timely manner and have a car waiting for you.  We've also done this and then rented sea raycers or a pontoon boat before heading back to the airport.

I hope this has helped you plan, and gives you some fun ideas.  Let me know if you think of other questions before you sail.  Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
