Im traveling to WDW 8/4/13-8/9-13 with my husband and our two sons (ages 5 and 3) This will be our 1st trip to disney. Whats a good itnerary to follow for our trip? We will also be celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. What activities are there for us?

    Hi Kiara,

Guess what!  My husband and I also got married in early August.  It's a lovely time of year to celebrate an anniversary, especially at Walt Disney World.

Since Walt Disney World has not yet released detailed park hours for August, the Moms Panel will be better able to construct a detailed itinerary for you if you resubmit your request in two months.  In the meantime, however, I suggest you spend one whole day in each of the four main Disney theme parks.  Take some time mid-day when the temperatures and crowds are at their peaks to return to your resort and rest or swim with your boys.  Then you can all return refreshed and ready to enjoy the nighttime activities in the parks.

To celebrate your anniversary, make arrangements for your sons to enjoy some fun time in one of the children's activities centers while you and your husband relish a fine dining experience.  For instance, your boys could play at Simba's Cubhouse while the two of you dine at Jiko's.  Just let us know what kind of cuisine you and your husband enjoy and we'll be happy to suggest the perfect restaurant for your anniversary celebration.

Sending you good wishes and pixie dust for a magical trip and a romantic anniversary celebration!
