Hi Justin,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your excellent question!
With such a wide age gap between your daughters, I think that the choice of attractions matters less than having a strategy in place to make sure that everyone enjoys their days at Walt Disney World Resort to the fullest!
The first tip that I would give you would be to look for attractions that specify that they can be experienced by guests of “any height”. This means that you’ll be able to experience that attraction as a family. Click over to the
Disney Parks Blog for a handy list of which attractions can be experienced as a family, without worrying about height restrictions.
The second tip would be to use
Disney’s Rider Switch service, which allows two or more adults to take turns waiting with children who are too small to experience an attraction, without the need to wait in line twice. This will be an excellent strategy that will even allow your 9-year-old to ride some of her favourite attractions twice! For example, your husband can ride the attraction with her first while you wait with your baby, and then, she can ride it with you while your husband takes a turn waiting (or even experiencing another attraction) with your youngest.
I hope that this helps you plan your upcoming visit. If you would like some additional tips or have some questions about specific attractions, please don’t hesitate to come back and visit us!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
