Hi Breanna!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited to help you plan your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation for your family. It will truly be an amazing experience with your two little ones. I have vacationed at Walt Disney World Resort with my little ones when they were right around those ages and we made some truly magical memories! Guests under 3 years old receive complimentary admission to Walt Disney World Resort. When Guests are scanning fingers, they are verifying that their fingerprint matches their
theme park ticket linked to their
MagicBand and since your littlest one won't need a ticket, you won't need to worry about a fingerprint scan. In fact, your little one isn't required to scan his or her MagicBand at all at the theme park entrance even thought my little one was always quick to get his MagicBand up so he could touch it like the "big kids").
For your older child, you can definitely use your own fingerprint when his or her MagicBand is scanned. In fact, my fingerprint has been associated with my oldest's ticket for several vacations. One word of caution is that if your little one will ever be entering a theme park with another adult, such as a different parent or a grandparent, this may slow you down a bit on entry as you explain the situation to the Cast Members at the theme park entrance if you aren't with your little one to use your fingerprint.
