Hi there, Courtney! Welcome to planDisney!
Your kids are in for the best time when you head to
Walt Disney World Resort! Disney is always doing its best to make everyone feel comfortable while visiting, and I know they'll do their best to accommodate your family too. On a recent trip with my entire family, my 8-year-old nephew was wiped out after a couple of amazing but long days in the Theme Parks! We grabbed a stroller for him one night and it was a game-changer! He comfortably rode around for the evening and was ready to "rope drop" (arrive at Park opening time) the next day!
I've noticed that the double strollers that are available to rent at the four Disney Theme Parks and
Disney Springs are fairly large and there is no divider between the seats, so a toddler can even lay down sideways if you snuggle them up right! At the Resort, Double Strollers are recommended for two children who together weigh 100 pounds or less. The double stroller dimensions are 31.5" for width, 39" for depth and 41" for height.
Strollers are available for rent on a daily basis or even for your length of stay! Just note that strollers need to stay within the Park or area they were rented in, so when you head back to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel for an afternoon break, or if you have
Park Hopper Option Theme Park Tickets and plan to switch parks midday, you'll need to leave the stroller where it was rented from. The great part is that if you take your receipt to the next Park you can pick up another stroller that day for free!
While Disney does have restrictions on size requirements for strollers, you will find that many single and double strollers that you bring from home or rent from a third-party company will fit inside these guidelines. If you're looking for a stroller that you can take back with you to your Resort at night, Disney's Featured Provider, ScooterBug, may have you covered! They offer length-of-stay stroller rentals and even work directly with the Cast Members at your Resort so that you don't have to be present when the stroller is dropped off or picked up.
I hope that no matter which option your choose your children are both comfortable and happy throughout your trip! Have a magical time!
