I’m traveling with my sons by myself,do I need a letter from dad giving ok to take them, just don’t want any surprises at the port

Ahoy, Tyneisa and welcome back to planDisney. I'm so glad you stopped by with your question.

How exciting that you are planning a Disney Cruise Line vacation. No matter the age of your son, I feel confident he'll fall in love with Disney Cruise Line as my boys did. Now, as a Mom who just sent my younger son on a solo trip out of the country with his Dad, I understand the need to pre-plan and make sure all of your paperwork is correct.

Please have your son's father complete THIS FORM authorizing you to travel with him alone. You'll want to bring that with you to the port along with his passport or birth certificate. You can check the additional documentation required HERE

No matter if you're sailing on the original ship, the Disney Magic, the newest member of the fleet, the Disney Wish, or anything in between, I know you'll have a pixie-dusted adventure. If you have any additional questions, just set your compass to planDisney and come on back for answers.

Greetings from central Pennsylvania! Hi, I’m Lauren and I can’t wait to answer all of your Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Vacation Club questions. My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
