I'm traveling as an older single (57), but I wouldn't mind meeting people. Do they have anything like singles receptions or morning meet-ups?

    Hi Dee!

There's nothing official, but various Disney fan communities and travel agencies sponsor meet ups or receptions from time to time.  The independent DIS Boards (Disney Information Station) and PassPorter's community boards are a good place to start.  Also, several podcasters sponsor meet ups; the WDW Radio podcast usually has a meet up for listeners about once a month.  The WDW Today podcast team usually sponsors a big meet up in December.  Those are all good ways to meet like minded Disney fans.

Of course, you can also just meet guests in the parks; it's usually pretty easy to strike up conversations while waiting in the various lines.

Finally, enjoy the advantages of traveling solo.  Take time to really enjoy the details and the storytelling behind every Walt Disney World attraction, restaurant, and shop.  Some of my best visits to Walt Disney World have been solo trips.

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and write back if you have any questions!
