Tammy! I'm so excited to welcome you back to planDisney! I am jazzed to be here answering guests' questions, whether it's their first or fiftieth visit to our pixie-dusted corner of the internet. Thank you for trusting us with your questions throughout the years; I hope our responses have made planning your Disney vacations simple and stress-free. Let's take a look at how your friends can make payments on your booked vacation package.
The first thing I do when researching answers for guests is take a peek through the tomes of knowledge in the planDisney archives. I came across
this response that Shantel wrote in 2025, and I wanted to ensure the details were still accurate for 2026. I spoke with a Cast Member named Prescott and he gave me the low-down on who can make payments toward a vacation package and what information they will need to complete their payment over the phone.
Prescott told me that a guest seeking to make a payment will need to pick up the phone and supply the Cast Member who is taking their call with the following information:
- the confirmation number for the package
- name of the primary guest
- the email associated with the My Disney account
- the billing address
Now, Prescott may have meant that the guest making the payment will need to supply their own email and billing address when they make their payment, but I read it as needing that information for the primary guest. My suggestion is to over-prepare the other guests on the reservation and give them all the applicable information they may need. As my mom used to tell me, "it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it!"
It's still true that only the primary guest can make a payment online, and Prescott confirmed that for me as well. One alternative to having each friend call in their payment each time is to collect funds from your friends via a mobile banking app and make the payments as the primary guest. I support whatever strategy you've all agreed on to make sure your package is paid off in a timely manner. Just remember, Disney
will not automatically charge your method of payment.
That should help you organize your group and make sure everyone knows how to pay down that vacation balance, Tammy! Are you going to be a large group heading to Walt Disney World next October? I hope you're planning to attend
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in a group costume! If you're looking for ideas about what to wear, my besties and I have been tossing around the idea of dressing as Muppets next time we meet up in the parks (I've got dibs on Kermit the Frog). Please visit us again if you have more questions about planning your perfect Disney getaway! We're more than happy to lend a hand.
Stay magical,
Scott
