I'm traveling with a family of 6 and we are deciding between beach club standard of boardwalk inn concierge. Staying at beach club requires 2 rooms and activities with the kids are really important because we would like to spend half of time at the hotel.

Howdy Elisa! Thanks so much for your question! My first suggestion is to consider a two bedroom villa in either resort rather than looking at the standard hotel rooms.

The villas will give you plenty of space, a full kitchen, washer and dryer and price wise, should be comparable to what you are already considering.

You mentioned that you want to spend half of your time at the hotel. With this in mind, I’m going to suggest Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

The primary reason behind my selection has to do with the 3-acre water recreation area that the resort offers. It’s incredible!! Guests can climb the mast of a life-size shipwreck and zip down one of the highest hotel waterslides at Walt Disney World Resort. You can float down a lazy river, unwind in one of 3 whirlpool spas and soak up the sun on the elevated tanning deck. Children can make a splash in the kiddie pool and delight in the sand beach that slopes gently into the main pool. The “magic sand” (as my 4 year old calls it) is our favorite part of the pool.

I love Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas as well. The thing I like most about the BoardWalk area is the exciting Coney Island-style atmosphere. There is always something to do or see and it is such a fun area.

By staying at Beach Club, you can enjoy the recreation of your resort but also take a quick walk over to the BoardWalk and enjoy all that it has to offer. This seems like the best of both worlds.

Thanks again for your question and please let me know if you need any further information. I would love to know what you decide!!
