Hi, Christina!
Welcome back to
Disney Parks Moms Panel!
When we head to Walt Disney World, we are often traveling with another family or other families, and the use of our
MagicBands makes everything so much easier!
If you have two separate WDW resort room reservations, each family's
Disney Dining Plan will be associated with the separate reservation. This means that although you'll be dining as a party of 6 or more, hence the automatic addition of the gratuity, your Disney Dining Plan entitlements will draw from each family's account. When you order, simply tell your server which meals go together from one family's Dining Plan entitlements, and which go with the other's. We have asked for a split check in such situations, at times, if that was better for one family. For example, my husband might add a bowl of soup or an appetizer to his meal, and I may order a glass of wine; it may be easier to keep track of expenses if each family has a separate check.
Regardless of one check or two, you may opt to pay for whatever is not covered by your Disney Dining Plan using cash, your MagicBand (if you have a credit card associated with it), or by using a different credit card that you have brought with you. Simply provide your server with a separate form of payment, should you wish to do so; charge the balance to your room account if that works for you.
You are going to love the flexibility of your MagicBands as well as the value you get for your dining dollars while on a Disney Dining Plan, Christina!
Happy planning! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
