Hi I'm traveling to Disneyland Florida Port Orleans french quarters) from the UK in May. Can I book my LL & LL+ from the UK 7 days in advance? Or can you only book this from the US?

    Hello Bryn!

Welcome again to planDisney! The whole new Lightning Multi Pass system that is replacing Disney Genie+ is soon arriving and I am excited to see how it will work. Right now we have a lot of information that can help Guests prepare and I am glad to share it with you.

Only guests from the USA and Canada can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Single Pass via the My Disney Experience Mobile App. As these are the only ways currently to purchase these tools and the app does not allow purchasing for Guests outside of the USA and Canada, you will not be able to pre-book anything. There are privacy and data laws in other countries that prevent this and make it the way it is. I am sorry to be the bearer of this news but you will have to wait until you arrive in the United States (or Canada) to make any pre-arrangements and purchases on the My Disney Experience Mobile App. This includes the 7 days in advance benefit that guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel have.

Once you arrive in the United States make sure that your phone recognizes that you are here so that the app can now allow you to make purchases. The cost of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass will be the same whether you had the chance to buy it before or the day of so there won't be any surprise costs. If you are using the 14-Day Magic Ticket, you can purchase ahead for the second half of your adventure with no issue as you will already be here in the United States. Maybe consider the first week as one for relaxing and getting to meet your favorite characters while the second week is attraction-filled. It's something to consider as you enjoy your holiday.

I have to say though that between now and your anticipated travels next year a lot can change and more details could be fine-tuned. I suggest keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates.

I hope this was helpful and if you have any more questions please let me know!

    Happy Planning!

We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
