Hi there, Michelle! Thanks for trusting the Disney Parks Moms Panel to help you plan your magical vacation to the Disneyland Resort!
The Holidays are a dazzling time to visit the parks and if you are planning on traveling in early January, you should catch the last few days of the season. First, be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog as they will announce the official dates of the Holidays for 2018 sometime in the next few months. Next, when you arrive, check the entertainment guide to see what time Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle lights up at night. It surely is a mesmerizing experience! Another thing you won’t want to miss is the illumination of the façade of “it’s a small world” Holiday. There is a short projection show each night and then the whole attraction lights up with thousands of twinkling lights. You’ll also want to ride the attraction, of course, which is decorated from floor to ceiling with holiday décor.
Over in Disney California Adventure Park, you will enjoy all the tasty and unique food options available for the
Festival of Holidays. There are lots of food booths in the park that offer sweet and savory delights from a variety of different cultures. Plus, there is special entertainment like Disney ¡Viva Navidad! in the Paradise Gardens Park area and seasonal overlays on a few attractions in Cars Land.
If you have any other questions as you plan your adventure, I hope you will stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. See ya real soon!
