Greetings from Florida, Janice! Thank you so much for stopping by to see us here at planDisney!
A magical vacation with your grandchildren will be such fun. I bet you (and they!) can hardly wait for your special visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I'm happy to help you get your plans in practically perfect order!
Your grandchildren certainly can use
Florida Resident Tickets to enter the Walt Disney World theme parks, but those tickets can only be picked up and activated by an adult with
proof of Florida residency. That means you'll either need a parent to come along with you to pick up the tickets and show their Florida ID, or have the parent pick up the tickets in advance if they aren't planning to visit the parks with you. A really easy and convenient way for them to do that is to drop into the
Disney Ticket Center at
Disney Springs. Parking is free, and they can get in a nice meal and some shopping while they're there, too!
Then, once the tickets have been picked up and activated, the children can use them throughout your trip with no further need to show ID.
Even though you'll need to show Florida resident ID to pick up the tickets, you should go ahead and buy them online right now so you can make your
Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as you can. That's a really important step in your planning, so don't forget!
Janice, while you're making plans, be sure to check out
this handy guide to Walt Disney World fun for tweens and teens. From attractions to restaurants, you'll get some great advice on planning an action-packed adventure for big kids.
I hope this helps you have an
Incredible time with your grandchildren, Janice. Please drop by again if you have any more questions. We're always here to help!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
