Hi mom's, I'm traveling to Disney World the end of April this year with my son's High School culinary class.Since the Arrangements are made by the teacher I was wondering if you could give me any information on how to get and link magic bands.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elena! I'm glad you stopped by.

I'm so excited that your son will have the chance to travel to Walt Disney World Resort with his culinary class this spring. I wish more people knew about the incredible educational opportunities that exist around every corner of the Disney theme parks and resorts. I have led a dozen school groups to Walt Disney World Resort over the last decade and I can't say enough about the Youth Programs that are available there. They are spectacular!

You will need to check with the teacher who planned this trip to determine when you will receive your MagicBands. If your son is staying at a Disney Resort hotel as part of a large group, he will likely receive his MagicBand open arrival. Since I travel with a relatively small group of students (less than forty, typically), I order customized MagicBands for my students prior to their arrival and then distribute them to the kids at the airport.

If you are looking to purchase MagicBands separately, you can do so online. While you are waiting for your MagicBands to arrive, set up a My Disney Experience account. When you have your theme park admission tickets and MagicBands in hand, you can enter the numbers on them into your My Disney Experience account and you'll be ready to go.

Let us know if you need any further advice about traveling with teens to Walt Disney World Resort. We'd love to help make this a magical experience for both you and your son.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Jill
