    Hi! I’m traveling to Disney in Orlando this August and heard about the Lightning Lane changes starting July 24. Can people outside the US pre-plan Lightning Lanes 7 days in advance? If I’m in Mexico or another country, can I do it 7 days ahead?

    Hello Grissel! Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you are staying up-to-date on the exciting changes coming to Lightning Lanes later this month!

    Beginning on July 24, 2024, Guests within the United States can begin making advanced Lightning Lane purchases and selections using their My Disney Experience account. Guests with reservations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make their purchases and selections up to seven days before their vacation arrival date. Guests staying at other hotels can make their purchases and selections up to three days before their visit to the theme park. Canadian guests may continue to use the My Disney Experience app after the launch of pre-arrival purchasing and planning for Lightning Lane passes.

    Guests residing outside of the United States or Canada, will have to wait until they have arrived in the United States for their vacation to begin making their Lightning Lane purchases and selections.
