I'm traveling to Disney in Oct .with 5 adults & 3 children. I've booked the specialty diners but was wondering if finding a place to eat will be difficult with a large group. If so any suggestions

    Hi John!

We often travel to Walt Disney World with a large group, in fact when we travel with my extended family, about every other year, there are 18 of us!

We typically try to book at least one table service meal per day, so we know that we will have one reservation where we are all seated and able to eat together.  Sometimes we have to be seated at two or three separate tables, but they are usually always within very close proximity to each other.

If we do not have Advanced Dining Reservations for a table service restaurant, we often find that we have to divide our party and stagger our meal times, but not always.  Sometimes we have found that it is possible to make an Advanced Dining Reservation on the same day!  Just last month, we were all in the Magic Kingdom together, with no ADR, and decided about 4:00 that we would like to actually find a Table Service restaurant to enjoy a meal that evening together, if possible.  I walked right up to the registration counter at the Liberty Tree Tavern and asked if they happened to have something available, and they did!  All 18 of us were able to enjoy a fabulous meal there at 6:15 p.m. that very evening, at three different tables which were right next to each other!  And the park was SUPER crowded that day!  So, wonderful things definitely can and do happen in Walt Disney World even when you don't have a plan!

As for quick service locations, we have never had a problem ordering our meals and finding tables together.  We usually send one or two from our party to get the tables, let two or three adults do all the ordering, and use the rest of the group to help transport the food to the tables.  I tell you, we have this down to a science!

I wish you all lots of Pixie Dust for a wonderful vacation in Walt Disney World!
