Hi, there!
Glenda, I'm so happy to hear you'll be traveling to the
Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season. It truly is the most magical time of the year!
Your heart is going to just melt as you watch your sons be immersed in the magic of Disney storytelling in the theme parks. I completely understand your concern, though! I'm pleased to tell you that on
most attractions, you can sit with both your boys. Attractions with wide bench seating like
Kilimanjaro Safaris and
Pirates of the Caribbean can perfectly accommodate your family as a party of three sitting together. Other attractions, like
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and
Splash Mountain, have shorter bench seating, but can still seat three comfortably. You'll also have no difficulty sitting together on attractions with ride vehicles like
Alien Swirling Saucers,
Space Mountain, and
The Seas with Nemo & Friends.
Unfortunately, attractions with bucket seats like
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and
Slinky Dog Dash can not sit three across. Not to fret! In those instances, you'll be seated with your 5-year old and your 7-year old will be seated in the row directly in front of you. There was one time that I was riding Slinky Dog Dash with my two sons and the seat next to my oldest son was filled by another Guest. That hadn't happened before on any other thrill attraction we had experienced together, but it didn't bother my little guy so it wasn't a problem. If you think your oldest kiddo
would be bothered sitting next to a stranger, I suggest voicing your concern to the Cast Member who will be seating you. They'll be happy to make sure your family is comfortable while riding!
Since you'll be traveling without the help of another adult, I very much recommend purchasing
Memory Maker. As a mom of three, I'm often behind the camera. With Memory Maker, I don't have to be behind the camera because a Disney PhotoPass Photographer is instead! This means that our entire family is included in our vacation pictures!
I hope this was helpful, Glenda. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
