Hi, I’m traveling with my daughter on an upcoming cruise and her mother is not coming with us. Also we are not married. What documentation is required for this?

Ahoy, there matey! Thanks for dropping by planDisney, Joseph. I'm happier than Jack Sparrow with the title of Captain to help you navigate your upcoming trip.

Joseph, your daughter is going to fall in love with Disney Cruise Line! No matter how old she is, there is something for every age. For children ages 3-12, don't miss Disney's Oceaneer Club. Found aboard every ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, this dedicated play space features so many favorite characters and has tons of activities to choose from. Now, if your daughter is a bit older, make sure to check out Edge or Vibe. My oldest son just turned 12 and is transitioning to Edge on our upcoming sailing. He's so excited to check out the tween club and have a bit more freedom. Wherever your daughter falls on the age spectrum, I hope she loves the opportunities to play on the ship.

Now, Joseph, to make sure your cruise starts off with smooth sailing, let's chat about the necessary documentation for your daughter. In addition to the required citizenship documentation for your entire traveling party, you'll want to have the AUTHORIZATION FOR MINOR TO TRAVEL WITHOUT A PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN form completed and notarized before your trip.

I hope this helps as you're looking ahead to your upcoming vacation. Please come on back to planDisney with any additional questions. We are always happy to serve a returning guest.

Wishing you fair winds and following seas,
    Lauren

My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
