Welcome aboard, Katie!
I am so happy to hear you are setting sail with Captain Mickey for your next vacation! There is
so much included with every Disney cruise, and each ship has something special to offer. It’s always great when that decision has been made and we can simply focus on looking forward to the actual itinerary we chose!
It’s always a smart move to make sure you have the right travel documentation for your sailing. Currently, a passport is not required for U.S. citizens sailing on Disney Cruise Line itineraries leaving from a U.S. port and returning to the same U.S. port. I’m not certain which itinerary you will be sailing, so be sure to check the
Passports, Visas and Travel Documentation information on Disney Cruise Line's website for the most up-to-date details on what your necessary documents are. You will select where you will be sailing at the top of the page:
Alaska;
The Bahamas, Caribbean, Pacific Coast, Bermuda or Canada – Round Trip Cruises;
Caribbean – One-Way Cruises;
Europe;
Panama Canal; or
Transatlantic Crossing.
I know Guests have also brought their marriage certificates, but to my knowledge, they are not required. However, it’s probably a good idea to bring it if you have been recently married and your photo ID/driver’s license shows your maiden name. And hey, if your passports do arrive in time, then just bring those!
We sure hope that you return to planDisney with more great questions as you embark on planning the best Disney cruise ever.
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
