I'm torn about purchasing hopper on our 6 day Base tickets. For our fam of 5 it's an added $200. Was going to leave off to save $, but everyone says it's such a great thing to have. My kids will be 8,6,&2 at travel time. Going late Jan. Should we hop?

The park hopper is a great thing to have, but it's not necessary.  My family has never paid for the park hopper option and we've never regretted not having done so.  In my opinion, the biggest perk of having the hopper is that you can spend the day in one park and hop to another for dinner or nighttime entertainment.  While that is a convenient option, it's actually quite easy to have a fabulous time in one park all day.  You just have to be a bit more vigilant in planning for and scheduling your dining reservations to ensure that they all align with the park you'll be spending the day in.  And if you don't want to eat dinner in the park you'll be spending the day in, you can always choose one of the many resort hotel restaurants.

In the end you just have to decide whether you want to spend the extra money on the hopping upgrade or whether you'd rather have it to spend on more Mickey bars! ;)
