I'm thinking of a trip at the end of March 2014-kind of a last minute trip due to older sons baseball schedule. My husband will be celebrating 50th birthday-I need suggestions for a great bday dinner thinking CAGrill--what else? Want a great disney meal .

    Hi Tracy!

I can't think of a better way to celebrate your husband's 50th birthday.  Then again,  I may be a bit biased!

Having just returned from a visit to the newly designed California Grill, I can't recommend it enough.  It's long been a favorite of mine and now it's even better.  The view has been enhanced with floor to ceiling windows, and the menu has gotten even better.  From fresh sushi to duck to steak and more, there is something to please everyone in your family.  If you are a wine fan,  try a tasty glass from John Lasseter's winery.  I love how he's introduced his wines to Disney.

Another one of my favorite restaurants is the Flying Fish Cafe on Disney's BoardWalk.  The ambiance is great inside the restaurant, and I've always had outstanding meals there.  Once you've finished,  you'll love exploring the lively entertainment of Disney's Boardwalk area.  You mentioned baseball?  For your sports loving family members,  the ESPN Club is just a few steps from Flying Fish.  Whether you want to play sports video games or catch a game, I think it might be the perfect place to stop by.

Whatever you decide, be sure to mention your very special birthday celebration so that it is notated in your reservation.  Each Disney Dining establishment will provide something special or unique as a way of commemorating that special birthday.

Please let me know if I can help with other restaurant suggestions, or additional ways to celebrate the birthday!

Until then, I wish you a truly magical vacation!
