Hi Elena! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
What a FUN birthday your
little one has ahead of him! My kiddos' visits to the Walt Disney World Resort at that age were incredibly special and very enjoyable. They were old enough to recognize many of the
Characters, and seeing the pure joy on their faces at meeting their favorites brought tears to my eyes. You will love it!
Since you are visiting for one day, I recommend you make
Magic Kingdom Park your theme park for the day. Magic Kingdom Park has the most attractions for young children which means even more fun for your son! When you arrive, head to
Guest Relations or a
merchandise location and ask for a birthday button. These complimentary celebration buttons alert Cast Members that it is your son's special day, and when they notice, they'll often wish him a happen birthday.
I suggest making a dining reservation at a Character dining location like
The Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends, or
Chef Mickey's (close by at
Disney's Contemporary Resort) with Mickey Mouse and friends. When you make the reservation, ask them to make a note that it is your son's birthday. While it's not guaranteed, I have often found Mickey-shaped confetti on our table or another small token of celebration when we add the note to our reservation. You can have a
cake delivered to the restaurant by calling (407) 939-3463 to make it extra special! For even more delivery surprise ideas, visit the
Disney Floral & Gifts website to view unique birthday items.
I hope this give you a few ideas to help with your planning, Elena! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
