I'm thinking of staying at Swan & Dolphin next summer. I know that there's a resort fee. Is this fee added into my package price, or do I pay this separately at the end of my trip? I just don't want an unexpected expense when I check out.

    Hi Jami!

So happy to hEAR that you have an upcoming Walt Disney World adventure on the calendar. Props to you for making sure every element of your reservation is all lined up, especially when it comes to the overall cost. Hey, every Disney dollar counts, right?

You are correct that the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels charge a daily resort fee, which includes in-room high-speed internet access. So how will those charges show up exactly? Well, when I logged onto the Walt Disney World website to make a package booking for the same dates, the reservation details stated that any mandatory hotel fees were included in the package price. The resort fee would be one of these mandatory hotel fees, so I believe that you would not have to pay the resort fee separately. Even if you booked a hotel-only reservation, I can confirm that the room rate includes the resort fee in the pricing.

Having stayed at both Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, I can say with all confidence that both hotels know how to make you feel immersed in the magic. The beauty is their location and close proximity to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. There’s nothing like being able to walk over to the International Gateway at EPCOT and feel like we are instantly globetrotting!

Swan and Dolphin Guests also have access to complimentary resort transportation throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Whether my family drives to Orlando or chooses to fly, I like letting Mickey do the driving for us once we are on property. So I consider this an additional perk that off-property resorts simply do not offer.

Finally, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin boast some exceptional dining locations and are surrounded by adjacent dining opportunities that make my taste buds water! We love sushi, so Kimonos really pleases our palates and is a hidden gem. Nearby Flying Fish at neighboring Disney's BoardWalk is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. And I highly recommend checking out AbracadaBar for its truly unique cocktail concoctions.

As Dory would say, "just keep swimming" with those vacation plans and swim right back back to planDisney...we are always happy to travel those waters with you!

    See ya real soon!
