I'm thinking about purchasing prepaid visa gift cards to use for purchasing food and merchandise at Disney and non-Disney shops/restaurant to use in place of cash or credit. Has anyone ever done this or do you see a problem with why it wouldn't work?

    Hello Carley!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

I just got back from my own Disney visit and we used Disney Gift Cards for a lot of our purchases. Food, merchandise, etc. I have used pre-paid Visa gift cards in the past as well. I used them to give my older kids a “budget” so to speak. They each got one pre-paid gift card and when it was done, so was their spending. We were able to use them wherever Visa credit cards were accepted.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you are planning your visit.

    See you real soon!
