Hello, I'm thinking about planning a trip for my daughter who's birthday is in December and also for Christmas in 2020 or 2021 to Disney World. Do you have any recommendations? I never been there before this will be my first and her's.

Hello Serena! A combined Christmastime and birthday celebration at the Most Magical Place on Earth is the perfect way to be together! All of us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel are always happy to offer some suggestions on celebrations!

To celebrate your daughter's special day, consider a Character Dining experience. I recommend dinner at Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom Park. Here you are dining in Beast's Castle! During dinner, Beast can be seen making his way through the castle. Guests are invited to meet Beast during the dining experience. Have your camera and autograph book ready! Also, be sure to book this dining experience 180-days in advance by calling (407)939-3463. Let them know you are celebrating a birthday!

I also recommend breakfast at Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Here you will celebrate with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy! It is always a party at Chef Mickey's! Of course, you have to try the Mickey waffles at this buffet breakfast! I also recommend breakfast at the new Topolino's Terrace: Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy all make their way through the dining room to meet Guests. The breakfast menu is phenomenal! Similar to Be Our Guest, be sure to book either (or both) of these dining experiences 180-days in advance. Again, mention that you are celebrating a birthday.

Christmastime at the Walt Disney World Resort is busy, but it is also beautiful. A truly magical experience during this time of year is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park. This special-ticket event is held during select nights in November and December. The event is typically held from 7:00PM until midnight, but you can enter the park as early as 4:00PM which I strongly encourage. During this festive holiday party you will see Cinderella Castle decorated in the most amazing lights. Be sure to stick around for the special holiday fireworks show. Complimentary hot chocolate, cider, and cookies are available throughout the evening.  And, of course, a Christmas party hosted by Mickey Mouse would not be complete without a visit from Santa Claus. My favorite part of the evening is when it "snows" on Main Street, U.S.A. Yes, "snow" in central Florida. Only at the Walt Disney World Resort!

You might also want to give your daughter a special birthday/holiday surprise by ordering a Disney-themed gift basket or stocking from Disney Floral and Gifts. This special group of Dream Makers will put together the perfect gift and have it delivered to your resort room. You can imagine the joy on the face of your little princess when she finds a special gift waiting for her!

Serena, I am excited for you and your daughter! As you continue to plan your first trip, please come back to visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are always happy to help!
