I'm thinking of making reservations for May 14 at Narcoosie's. What is the best time for dinner to see fireworks?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Alice!

I love Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and have spent so many special moments there over the years. The beautiful Victorian theming, gorgeous landscaping, and tranquil water views create a lovely, luxurious setting and the perfect backdrop for magical memories. I’m so glad to hear you’re thinking of a visit.

You will still find the same delicious coastal cuisine and elegant dining experience at Narcoossee’s, however, some experiences are still paused as part of the Walt Disney World Resort’s phased reopening. One of the experiences we’re all eager to see return is fireworks and nighttime spectaculars. Those are not currently taking place at the Walt Disney World Resort, so you will not be able to enjoy fireworks with your surf and turf. That does not mean you won’t have an amazing dining experience, though! My dear friend and fellow panelist Tabitha D. visited her favorite signature dining location, California Grill, last night, and she said the magic was still there, even without the fireworks show. Tabitha said her heart was so happy being back in her special place with her loved ones, and she would absolutely return.

I’ve enjoyed the lovely experience of dining while Happily Ever After plays across the water, and it’s wonderful, so I’m sending pixie-dusted wishes that we see fireworks return by May. I recommend watching the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates – if fireworks are coming back, they will announce it.

If the fireworks are back by your dining date, check the Park Hours or the Happily Ever After webpage for showtimes. In May, the show has historically been at 9:00 or 10:00 p.m., depending on when Magic Kingdom Park is closing. As part of the phased reopening, park hours have been reduced, so that’s another point to consider as you think about your timing. I’m sorry I can’t give you more specific information at this time, but wanted to give you a ballpark if you want to choose your time based on an educated guess and a wish. As you lead up to your reservation, if things change, keep checking My Disney Experience to see if you can modify your time.

A dream is a wish your heart makes, and I’m wishing that you get that fireworks view with your delectable dining experience, Alice!
