Warmest holiday greetings, Susan, and welcome to planDisney! I love magical surprises, so let's look at how
Disability Access Service (DAS) will work if you give the gift of Disney to your family this year.
I spoke to a holly-jolly Cast Member named John who told me that DAS video chat registration is available up to 30 days before your visit but must be booked at least two days before arrival.
So, to register in advance and choose those
first two attractions, you'd have to complete the video chat by December 24 for a December 27 arrival. The Cast Member said two full days are needed to process the registration.
Remember that your little prince or princess must be available for the video chat, so you might have to reveal your surprise a little earlier than Christmas morning. And I'd like to add that the holidays are exceptionally busy, which could result in longer online wait times.
Another option to consider is to wait to do the
DAS registration in person at one of the theme parks. The Cast Member said that registering in person typically goes quickly, but the holidays could also impact wait times and attraction availability.
I'll give you a final thought to consider. You could surprise your kiddos on Christmas morning, but take the trip in February or March. The whole family could be involved in making reservations for
dining and
tours up to 60 days in advance. My son is grown but still enjoys helping plan our visits!
I also see you're a Florida resident, so keep an eye on the
Special Offers page for any announcements about ticket and resort discounts. We should get news about early 2024 deals soon.
Susan, I hope I've given you some options to consider for your holiday surprise. Feel free to call the DAS line at (407) 560-2547 for more information and advice. I'm sending a sleigh full of pixie dust so your family has a festive and fun season.
Please
stop by planDisney anytime because I'd love to help you make some magical memories at
Walt Disney World Resort!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
