I’m thinking of getting that 3 day park ticket for s California $199.00 I believe that’s the price for myself and grand daughter and almost 2son and go possibly the first week of march 2025 this reservation stuff has me confused a bit

Hi Donnalee, welcome to planDisney! I'm excited that you want to take advantage of the Southern California Resident Ticket. It's a great value, providing three full days of fun at the Disneyland Resort for $199 (subject to change). You can count on me to help you sort out the details of this limited-time offer. Let's dive right in!

The Southern California Resident Ticket offer is only for residents within ZIP codes 90000 to 93599. To prove eligible residency, each adult using this ticket must show a government-issued photo ID at the entrance gate, like a California Driver's License or California ID.

To enter a theme park, you need both a ticket and a park reservation. When purchasing a ticket on the Disneyland website, you'll make your park reservations as part of the process. That way, everything will be ready once your tickets are confirmed. Here's the magical part: you can change the date of your park reservation later if your plans change. I checked the Theme Park Reservation Availability tool and, currently, there are still plenty of reservations available for March. The sooner you purchase your tickets (and select your reservation dates), the better chance you'll have to get the dates you want.

Speaking of timing, early March is a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort. By then, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing. There are marketplace kiosks throughout the park, each with a different menu of drinks and small bites. I generally purchase a Sip and Savor Pass and use it to select tasting portions of the foods that look appetizing to me. A few years ago, there were two plant-based dishes that I absolutely loved and still think about from time to time: Bulgogi Fried Rice and Buffalo Cauliflower Mac and Cheese. Yum! All to say, you might want to add this festival to your itinerary.

Here are a few more tips about reservations that I thought may be helpful to you:

    – The Disneyland Resort typically sees higher crowds starting in mid-March due to Spring Break vacations. You should be OK visiting in early March, but try to secure your reservations early for your preferred dates just in case.

    – Keep in mind that the SoCal Resident Ticket allows you to visit one park per day. If you have a reservation for one park and want to switch to the other, you can update your reservation to reflect that as long as there is availability.

Donnalee, you mentioned you'd be visiting with grandkids. Did you know that kids under three years old are Mickey Mouse's special guests and do not require a theme park ticket or reservation? Just bring them along with the family. You may also be interested in the Kids' Special Ticket Offer for ages 3-9, which is valid through March 20, 2025. These tickets can be purchased for one, two, or three days at $50 per day (subject to change).

I hope this information lights the way for your adventure, just like the second star to the right leads to Neverland. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you plan your trip. We're always happy to help.

Wishing you lots of magical memories at the Happiest Place on Earth,
