Hi there! I’m thinking of attending the Frozen Dessert party at EP. I don’t enjoy fireworks but the rest of my party does.Is there a way for me to shop during the show and then join them for the ride at the end? I realize that I will still pay full price

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lori!

My family just can’t “let it go” – we love Frozen. The Frozen Ever After Dessert Party at Epcot combines three of my favorite things: dessert, fireworks, and Frozen, and as Anna would say, it’s “what I’m dreaming of.” The desserts are delicious (and have fun, Frozen-themed names), party Guests get a fantastic viewing location for the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks spectacular, and then you’ll get a ride through Arendelle on Frozen Ever After

Lori, while fireworks are some of my favorite attractions at Walt Disney World, there are lots of Guests who don’t care for them, and the good news is, there are lots of great “during the fireworks” options. Many Guests will choose to ride attractions (depending on park hours) during fireworks, where you’ll often experience lower wait times. Others may choose to explore, shop, or sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or treat. There are so many ways to experience Disney, which is why I think it’s the perfect vacation spot!

I checked with a Cast Member, who said that as long as you have a paid reservation for the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party, it will be no problem for you to enjoy the desserts with your party, leave to shop or explore, and then reunite before getting on the Frozen Ever After attraction. When you check in for the party, you’ll receive a wristband, which you’ll need to return for the attraction. Let a Cast Member at the party know your plan, and they’ll advise on when and where to be so you can rejoin your party. I would recommend calling (407) WDW-DINE to make your reservation for the dessert party, and double-checking with the Cast Member on the phone, as they may have further advice for you to make sure this plan works out.

I hope you have the best time on your upcoming vacation, Lori! As you count down the days to your visit, make sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news – there are so many new experiences and treats being announced, and I love to keep a list on my phone so when I’m in the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs, I can remind myself of all the things I want to try. Enjoy every minute!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
