Konnichiwa, Teruki! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you've brought your question to us all the way from Japan. It is my dream to one day visit your beautiful country and experience the Tokyo Disneyland Resort!
Like you, my family also had to reschedule some vacation plans due to the pandemic. While it is certainly disappointing, we were able to move our travel dates and experience the magic of Walt Disney World once again after the parks' initial reopening.
I have good news, Teruki! When the time is right for you to travel again, even if
your tickets have expired, you will be able to apply the value of your unused theme park tickets to purchase new admission. The expiration date of your tickets can be found in your My Disney Experience account, and some tickets that were impacted by the park closure were automatically extended. You can change the date as many times as you want until your tickets reach their expiration date. At that point, you should contact Disney or your local travel agency to upgrade the expired tickets. Additionally, if you prefer to cancel your tickets, simply contact Disney for a refund.
I hope you do not have to wait too long for your
Walt Disney World adventure. In the meantime, I recommend following the
Disney Parks Blog for a daily dose of magic at home. My family has enjoyed cooking up the magic with some Disney recipes and watching some of our favorites on
Disney+ during our time at home. The Imagineering Story and Into the Unknown: The Making of Frozen II are must-sees for any Disney Parks fan, and will help pass the time until your next vacation.
Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, Teruki. If there is anything else we can do as your visit approaches, please come back and see us again.
Sayonara!
