I’m taking my 13 yr grand daughter and 14 yr grandson to Disney world in late May what are the best dining experiences for their age?

    Hi Grandma Jeri!

Thanks for your question. I can only imagine how wonderful it will be to spend time with your grandkids at Disney, "The Happiest Place on Earth!" You get the Grandma of the Year award! :-)

So I have children fairly close in age: a daughter who is 16 and a son who is 12. Here are some of the best dining experiences, according to them:

    Epcot
    *Coral Reef Restaurant
*Garden Grill Restaurant (character dining experience with a restaurant that rotates!)

    Hollywood Studios
*50's Prime Time Cafe' (Hosts are terrific and funny. "Keep your manners" and the retro feel is perfect)

    Magic Kingdom
*Be Our Guest Restaurant (The castle and ambiance is breathtaking)

    Animal Kingdom
    *Rainforest Cafe

    The Contemporary Resort
*California Grill (excellent food with an excellent view!)

    Disney's Beach Club Resort
*Cape May Cafe (if your grandkids love seafood (and buffets), this is the place for them)

The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
*Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue (Fun, raucous experience)

    Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
    *'Ohana

    Disney's Wilderness Lodge
    *Whispering Canyon Cafe

There are some honorable mentions, such as Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort, but the ones listed are my children's favorites. It fits their age and they like to blend a little character experience with some non-character dining experiences where the star of the show is the food! :-)

Hope this helps. May you all have a magical time at Disney!
