I'm taking my two boys, 4 and almost 2, for the first time to WDW. It's been a while since I've been. Looking for more unique, entertaining dining options that do not require park admission. What's fun besides Hoop-de-doo?

Amy, I'm so glad you stopped by with this question. You are going to have the most memorable time experiencing Walt Disney World for the first time through your children's eyes. Even if you've been before, it is totally different experience as you watch them enjoy all the magic around them.

There are lots of unique and entertaining dining experiences and many of them are at the resorts and don't require park admission. My first recommendation would be Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness. It is an old fashioned hoe-down with Mickey and pals with music, dancing and good ol' barbeque at picnic tables. Like the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, it takes place at Fort Wilderness, but I think with your boys' ages, they might enjoy the BBQ and meeting Mickey in his western best a lot more.

Another option would be the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at the Polynesian Resort. This Luau experience blends the traditions of the Hawaiian Islands with family-fun and entertaining performers. If you are looking for a tropical atmosphere with characters, consider 'Ohana for breakfast with Lilo, Stitch and some other Disney favorites!

My last option to consider would be taking your boys out for a fun afternoon snack at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at the Yacht and Beach Club and dive into their delectable ice cream sundaes! Their signature item is the Kitchen Sink that has, well, the everything but the kitchen sink. It is scoops of every flavor they offer as well as every topping they offer all served in a Kitchen Sink! Now, this may be too much for your boys, but they serve the most adorable Mickey Mouse Sundae which is a scoop of ice cream and two Oreos for ears and a cherry! The atmosphere is pure nostalgia with a juke box and old-fashioned fun! Please note that this location does not take reservations.

Have a magical time full of treasured moments.
