I'm taking three kids (13,11,8) to Disneyland. Is there a way to set up Genie+ so the 13 is linked-to/in-charge of the 11, and I'm linked-to/in-charge of the 8?

    Hi there, Candice!

Sounds like you'll have a fun crew to take on an adventure at Disneyland Resort soon! I remember when my kiddos were those ages, we had so much fun. When they were old enough, they'd get to ride attractions by themselves which made them feel "so old." I love that you'll be utilizing Genie+ on your trip in a few weeks, you can make sure everyone gets to pick something they enjoy by building out your schedule. Sometimes you may feel like Bo Peep keeping track of her sheep when the kids outnumber you, but I'm here to help you ensure everyone stays linked up for a fun-filled trip!

Linking Genie+ happens at purchase or in the app up to the day of. The guests responsible for securing attractions should have their own Disney account. At the age of 13 guests can sign up, with permission, for their own Disney account. Start by downloading the Disneyland app and make sure your ticket and your 13-year-old's tickets have been linked to each of your accounts. You will then want to scan everyone's tickets into both apps/accounts for convenience, keeping all the party members together. This way you can have the option to make selections all together, or separately so you and the 8-year-old can ride separate attractions from the 13-year-old, and 11-year-old. According to Disneyland's rules, children 7 and under must be accompanied by someone 14 years old or older.

There are plenty of attractions that are great for the kids to ride by themselves, some of my kids' favorites at Disney California Adventure Park were "Toy Story Midway Mania!", and at Disneyland Park, pretty much everything in Fantasyland! With all that magic, there won't be a dull moment and I hope they all enjoy themselves at the Happiest Place on Earth! Wishing you the best time!

    To Infinity and Beyond!
