Hi! I’m taking our tall kid to Disneyland and her portable crib is oversized. Assuming a standard room at the Disneyland Hotel (2 beds), what is the distance between the window and the closest bed? And between the bed and the dresser? Thank you so much!

    Hello Julie,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for continuing to trust us with your planning questions. My daughter is super tall for her age, so I completely understand the need to make sure our little ones sleep safely and comfortably, just like baby Grogu curled up after a long day of adventures.

One of my fellow panelists was able to help me get some measurements from the Disneyland Hotel, and the distance from the bed frame to the window is roughly 18–20 inches. Hopefully, that gives you enough space to place your portable crib.

If you’d prefer not to pack your own, you can always call down to the front desk and request one from housekeeping. They typically provide guests with a standard-size Pack ‘n Play or a full-size crib. Since my daughter has always been a bit tall, I have requested a Pack' n Play in my room, and every time I’ve visited, they’ve used the Graco brand. They even come with bedding if you’d like to use it. It’s a great way to save some room in your suitcase; more space for souvenirs, like a Grogu plushie to snuggle on the way home!

I’ve stayed at the Disneyland Hotel a couple of times while my little one was still using a Pack ‘n Play, and it definitely fit in the room. I usually placed it at the foot of the bed, furthest from the door. Sometimes I’d move a bit of furniture around to make space, but I could still comfortably walk around it if needed. It reminded me a little of Dumbo finding just the right spot to feel safe and cozy.

Since you’ll be traveling with a little one, I highly recommend grabbing a Family Adventure Map from a Guest Services booth. It’s a fantastic tool for helping families navigate the parks. The map lists rides that are perfect for young children, includes a helpful table for finding kid-friendly dining, and even marks the locations of companion restrooms. On our last visit, my 4-year-old loved using the character search on the map. It helped keep her entertained in line, and it helped me maintain my sanity.

I hope this helps with your planning, Julie! If you have more questions or need extra tips, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your vacation.

Wishing you a magical (and restful!) trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
