Aloha, Danielle!
Here at planDisney, no question ever gets
left behind or forgotten, but it's always a special treat to discuss one of my very favorite topics: Stitch! Let's catch a wave and surf on over to the details of saying, "Hiiiiiiiiii" to everyone's favorite tropical extraterrestrial.
Currently, Stitch is making scheduled appearances in Magic Kingdom Park near the exit of
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland. You can convenitenly find a list of his daily appearances in the My Disney Experience app by selecting the location icon from the bottom banner of the screen, scrolling through the new banner at the top of the screen until you see 'Characters', and selecting 'Show List' in the bottom corner of the map that populates. From there, you can either filter by location or simply scroll until you see Stitch and then select his icon to view the day's schedule.
Because my trips aren't complete without a hug from my mischievous (but also cute and fluffy) blue pal, I'm a frequent visitor to this particular meet and greet. In my experience, Stitch is quite a popular character, so I suggest arriving at least ten minutes before his scheduled appearance to ensure you'll be able to say hello during that particular window. If you happen to arrive after the line has been closed by a Cast Member, you might consider asking them if you can wait for the next meet and greet or if they have a particular time that they suggest arriving.
Since your son is hoping to become part of Stitch's
'ohana, I think Stitch-inspired face paint is a great way to grab his attention. Happily, there is a face painting station located right in Tomorrowland, a location that will be perfect for your son to see his blue bestie just after the masterpiece is completed! You'll find it near the restrooms behind the Rockettower Plaza Stage. If you're walking toward
Space Mountain, you're headed in the right direction. My pal
Alison and I recently had our faces adorned with holiday designs at this particular location during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and we were delighted to discover the paint lasted several days as long as we were mindful of it when showering and sleeping!
If your little one will be in
Heartbreak Hotel without as many Stitch interactions as possible, I suggest making a reservation for the
Best Friends Breakfast at 'Ohana, a family-style all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Not only will Stitch stop by your table, but you'll also catch a glimpse of him on your waffle!
I hope this was helpful, Danielle, and that your son is able to make magical memories with Stitch. If you need any additional assistance planning a
practically perfect day for your little one, don't hesitate to stop back by
planDisney. We're always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
