Im taking my 13 y/o son to Disneyland in Feb. What are some things for big kids to do that are out of the ordinary?

    Hi, Colee!

I hope you're looking forward to exploring the Happiest Place on Earth with your son! Of course, one of the biggest draws for teens in the theme parks is conquering all the thrill rides. From Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Disneyland Park to Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! in Disney California Adventure Park, there’s no shortage of exciting attractions for older kids to experience.

The Frontierland Shootin' Exposition in Disneyland Park is a fun option for teens. Using replica .54-caliber Hawkins buffalo rifles, Guests test their marksmanship and get a taste of an Old West shootout! Featuring nearly 100 interactive targets, your son can test his marksmanship using safe infrared technology at this attraction.

Over at the Animation Academy in Disney California Adventure Park, your son can try his hand at drawing classes. Guests of all skill levels are invited to draw their very own Disney character with step-by-step instructions from a Disney artist. He can take home his artwork as a one-of-a-kind souvenir!

For a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the park, consider booking the Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps Guided Tour. You’ll learn what inspired Walt Disney to create Disneyland Park and experience classic attractions before enjoying a yummy meal. You and your son would even see a part of the theme park unavailable to most Guests! Is that cool, or what?

I hope this helps you plan a memorable trip, Colee! Please write back with any other questions you have.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
