I'm taking my parents next June. They are elderly and have limited mobility (knees that don't bend well etc) and my mom is overweight. What attractions may we have problems getting them on and off? Anything they may not be able to ride?

    Hi, Tricia!

When entering an attraction, there will be signs posted indicating any mobility limitations and if a guest will need to transfer from a wheelchair or scooter.  There will be some attractions that will just not be accessible, such as Space Mountain, but other attractions such as it's a small world will allow them to simply stay in their wheelchairs/scooters without even transferring.

If they can transfer, say on Haunted Mansion, the cars will slow down to allow loading and unloading.  Please notify a Cast Member that your parents will be slow to load so they are ready to adjust where needed.

I hope your family has a great time in Walt Disney World !

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
