im taking october 1st cruise first im wondering about the weather and rough sea. how bad will i feel the boat if we are on deck 1 in our room? second question, i booked thru AAA not dcl what other planning shoud i do? do i have to pre book at ports?

    Hi, MaLisa!

Every cruise I've sailed has been a little different depending on the specific ocean, the time of year, the ship and where my stateroom was situated. I've always felt a little motion, but fortunately, it has never affected my enjoyment. Generally speaking, the lower the deck and the more centrally located your stateroom is -- the less you feel the movement of the ship. Yet, during waking hours, you usually don't spend much time in your stateroom.

If you have a concern about the motion of the ship and how it will affect you, I advise you to consult your physician. Some guests feel more at ease knowing that they have a plan in place should rough seas occur and have an effect on their enjoyment of their cruise vacation.

AAA is a great travel resource for planning and booking your Disney cruise vacation. Your contact there should provide you with all the information you need to book on board activities before you ever leave home, such as:

    • Spa Treatments
    • Port Adventures
    • Adult Dining
    • Nursery Reservations
In addition, your agent may offer advice and assistance in checking in online and registering children for youth activities spaces. Registration and reservations for on board activities are available once you arrive, but it's best to book before you sail for the most options in availability.

I hope that helps you plan, and please let me know if more questions pop into your head before you sail. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.

    Bon voyage,

    Andi
