I’m taking a 3-night Bahamian cruise from Port Canaveral and want to confirm travel document requirements. I hold a Thai passport and valid F-1 visa. Since it’s a round trip, is a Bahamas visa needed or just valid documents for U.S. re-entry?

Ahoy there, Pimpun! Thank you for visiting planDisney with your important question.

Having the correct travel documentation is important to starting your vacation on Disney Cruise Line right! It is each Guest's responsibility to identify and obtain necessary visas before the cruise starts. Any visas that are required must be obtained in order to board the ship on embarkation day. You will need images of your documents to upload to the Disney Cruise Line website for online check-in as well.  You can do an internet search for the Bahamas Visa Requirements. When I browsed that website, I found that residents of Thailand must present a valid passport and a Bahamas visa, even if they have a visa from the United States.

You can also contact the Disney Cruise Line Embarkation Guest Services with specific visa questions. They can be reached by calling 1-800-395-9374 and are open Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm (ET).  On Saturday and Sunday, they are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (ET).  Please select option 1.

Pimpun, I hope this helps as you prepare for your upcoming vacation. Make sure to allow enough time to obtain your Bahamas visa. If you have any other questions, sail back to planDisney.

    Adventure is out there!
