Hi! I'm taking my 32 month-old goddaughter to WDW in Jan for 10 days at Animal Kingdom, but I don't have kids. What are the must-dos for us to enjoy together? We're going to the 4 parks, and we have time for special experiences. Thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jade. How wonderful that you are bringing your goddaughter for a Walt Disney World vacation! A 10-day stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is the perfect amount of time to enjoy the parks and still have time to relax around the resort. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is an adventure in itself; with views of over 30 species of African wildlife roaming the savannas, fun programs run by Animal Specialists, and the Hakuna Matata Playground, you are sure to keep your goddaughter happily entertained for the entire stay.

Your goddaughter is the perfect age for the most magical experiences in Walt Disney World. I remember bringing my daughter to the parks for the very first time right around that same age. She was thrilled to meet or dine with some of her favorite Characters. I highly recommend that you check out some of the Character Dining experiences offered in the parks and resorts, with a few of my favorites being Breakfast á la Art with Mickey and Friends in Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo and Stitch in ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom.

There are so many magical things to experience at each of the parks, with tons of fun for younger guests. At Magic Kingdom Park, some must-dos that are suitable for everyone include Peter Pan’s Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, “it’s a small world”, Jungle Cruise, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I recommend that you check out Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Toy Story Mania!, Disney Junior Dance Party, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-a-long Celebration, Voyage of The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage. While you are visiting EPCOT, some great attractions for any age include Frozen Ever After, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and the newest attraction scheduled to debut this summer, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Disney’s Animal Kingdom attractions that I think your goddaughter will love include Kilimanjaro Safaris, the Affection Section at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, It’s Tough to Be a Bug!, and the Maharaja Jungle Trek. These are just a few suggestions for each park and I am sure you will find loads more magic during your visit.  Be sure to grab a program upon entry into the parks each day to find out the times for any Parades, Character Greetings, and Nighttime Spectaculars.

If you haven’t already done so, I highly recommend that you download the My Disney Experience Mobile app so that you can make and change FastPass+ selections, dining reservations, check park hours and attraction wait times, view Disney PhotoPass photos, and so much more, right from your smartphone. I hope this information gets you off to a good start planning your vacation in The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop back by if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
