I'm taking my Mom to Disney World next year. She is diabetic & needs a wheelchair. Are we allowed to bring syringes into the parks & a cooler to keep the insulin in? Are the lines for rides wide enough for a wheelchair to fit?

    Hello, Stephanie,

You are welcome to bring a cooler with you and any necessary medical equipment. If you would like, you can also utilize the First Aid locations at the parks. These offer refrigeration for medication as well as special containers for disposal of hypodermic needles.  If you click on the link I provided, you can find the First Aid locations on the theme parks maps toward the bottom of the page.

Wheelchair access to the attractions does vary.  Some attractions have lines that accommodate wheelchairs while others have separate entrances.  Cast members are located outside the entrances and will direct you to the appropriate entrance.  You may also find exploring the independent website rollingwiththemagicblog.com an informative website as it provides information and pictures on wheelchair accessibility at Disney Parks.

Wishing you a magical trip!  Please let us know if we can help again.  -Kara
