I'm taking an 18 mo and a newborn in June.I wanted to make dinner reservations online.Do I need to make a seat reservation for the 2 children or only adults? Also, if someone decides to stay in with the newborn, is there a penalty for 1 seat cancellation?

Hi, Misty! Great question. I'd make the reservation for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children.) That will help make sure you get a spot for the 18 month old's highchair and a spot to plop your infant. (Many of the table service restaurants have infant car seat holders.) In the grand scheme of things, it's a lot easier to subtract a chair than add a chair.

Normally, if a party of 4 became a party of 3, I'd say, "Great. More beer for us." But your newborn will make a dent in neither food nor beverage, so it's all a wash in the end. Same goes for seating: you won't get dinged if your newborn bows out for other social commitments.
