I'm taking Magic cruise in October and am trying to find out if there are bag requirements for carry-ons, such as size and/or number of bags. With small rooms, I'm curious if I even need to check a bag at all. It's just me and my 2.5 yr old.

    Hi Donna,

Your Magic sailing is almost here! You must be so excited; you should be...it's going to be fabulous!

Per Disney Cruise Line policy, Guests are allowed one carry on and one purse or briefcase per person, and two checked bags per person.

The size of the carry on luggage would be similar to what you are allowed to bring on a plane. If you have several pieces of luggage, you may want to put swimsuits, and a change of clothes in your carry on and check the rest of the luggage. Luggage delivery is usually very timely, but sometimes I've seen them delivering until 6 or 7pm, which means if you have Main Dining you will be in the same clothes you boarded with. That's fine because attire the first evening is cruise casual.

I really don't think that you'll have to check luggage.  When I cruise, my family and I (total of 4) each bring one carry on along with one tote bag.  We rarely check luggage.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can answer anything else for you. Bon voyage Donna!
