    I'm taking my husband and 3 kids (12,3 & 2) to their first ever WDW visit in October. (10/18-10/23). I am torn between taking advantage of the Magic Hours (we are staying at AOA) or going with the crown calc from touring plans. Help!!

    Hi Julie!

    We utilize the "Best/Worst" Park suggestions from Touringplans.com on all of our visits and have found them to be very accurate.  That being said, our children are early-morning people.  They are up and out of bed at the crack of dawn, even at Walt Disney World.  Because of this, we tend to take advantage of the Early Extra Morning Hours.  We are able to see and do a lot in a short period of time.  We're usually able to knock out most of the items on our "must-do" list for the day before the crowds arrive and either hop to the suggested park for the day or back to the resort for a swim/nap break.

    So, while we definitely take into consideration the suggestions given by the fine folks at Touring Plans, we alter the suggestions to best suit our family's needs.  If you have kids who are up bright and early like ours, then definitely check out the Early Extra Magic Hours!  If they are night owls, you may want to hop to the park with Evening Extra Magic Hours.

    The great thing is you will be visiting during a time where crowds will be at a much more moderate level. This will allow you a great deal of flexibility in your planning.
