Hi, Jara!
Great question!
I just purchased my husband's Walt Disney World Annual Pass using a combination of several Disney Gift Cards and my Disney Visa Rewards Dollars, with no problems at all. In fact, I specifically waited until we were at a park entrance (rather than trying to do this over the telephone prior to arrival) because I knew that I could use multiple gift cards in order to pay for the pass, with no restrictions on that purchase. I found this to be a great way to spread out the cost of purchasing a
ticket; we simply saved the gift cards we had received here and there,
and soon they added up to help cover the cost of his ticket. It was hassle-free.
If you'd like to purchase gift cards prior to your departure, you'll be able to bring them with you and make your ticket purchase once you are in Walt Disney World. If, however, you'd rather not do this, you can also just pay for your park ticket with whatever method you were going to purchase the gift card, too. (While there is no additional fee, this would save you the time it may take to make an extra transaction.)
For more information about
Disney Gift Cards, just head to that link I found on the Walt Disney World website. You'll find lots of information about the cards, such as the fact that they can be used just like cash at Disney Theme Parks...including the purchase of park tickets!
Have a wonderful time planning your trip, Jara! Be sure to send us more questions as you think of them, too; we love to help!
