Cindy Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I'm taking my daughter to WDW in July for her 7th birthday (we will actually be there on her birthday!). I noticed I can pay extra for special things for her, but is there anything the park will do for free as well?

You should definitely stop by Guest Services on your way into the theme park, Cindy.  They'll be happy to provide you with a complimentary birthday button that your daughter can wear.  You'd be amazed at how many birthday wishes the cast members will offer.  Beyond that, sometimes cast members pass out Mickey stickers.  And if you visit Epcot that day, you can pick up a free Duffy "puppet" on a stick.  Stop by each of the Kidcot Fun Stops in the World Showcase to adorn her puppet.  I hope those ideas make your daughter's seventh birthday extra special.  Enjoy your trip!
