I'm taking my daughter on our first cruise in February. Her dad and I are not together anymore and he's not coming with. Do I need to have him fill out any forms?

    Ahoy Lindsay –

Thanks for visiting with us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your sensitive question – we are happy to help. I think you and your princess will have a wonderful time to bond together during your cruise in February on Disney Cruise Line. In addition to reconnecting with each other on vacation, you will also form priceless memories on your upcoming trip. Though I am married, I have cruised with my 2 kids without my husband and had no issues at all. As long as you have documentation for your princess (like a passport, or original birth certificate) there are no additional forms to complete when you sail without her father. I was especially concerned because my children have a different last name than I do, but that did not cause any problems when sailing. However, should you need to fly internationally, this may be a problem. To avoid any issues with security at international airports I always bring a birth certificate and their passports when I travel with them outside of the United States by air. I hope you and your princess have a wonderful cruise in February, and if you need more help, you know where to find us.
