    I'm from Sydney, Australia. Am I able to buy & link a MagicBand before I arrive? Will all members of my party require a MagicBand or will 1 for me be good enough? Can I use Memory Maker without a MagicBand?

    Welcome back to planDisney, friend! I am delighted that you continue to stop by with your planning questions. MagicBands and MagicBand+ options can only be shipped to the United States and Canada at this time. Pre-orders of MagicBands follow these same guidelines. But Hakuna Matata, friend! Should you decide that a MagicBand or MagicBand+ is a must for your crew, you can purchase these magical accessories after you arrive. These bands can be purchased in merchandise locations in the four theme parks, Disney Springs, and even at Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotels. After you purchase your MagicBands, they can be linked to your My Disney Experience account in a few easy steps, and they are ready for use right away. 

    Choosing which members of your travel party need a MagicBand is a personal choice. Having one MagicBand is great for unlocking your resort hotel room door, charging food and merchandise purchases to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room, and linking your Disney PhotoPass pictures to your My Disney Experience account. But a MagicBand can only be linked to one account, and will not provide access to the entire group's theme park tickets. But you still have options if you prefer not to purchase a MagicBand for everyone in your crew. You can use MagicBands, Disney MagicMobile Service, and Key to the World Cards to access theme park tickets, Lighting Lane Entrances, and so much more. 

    Disney MagicMobile Service is a digital pass that can be used to access your theme park tickets, virtual queues, charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room, and more. There is no charge for this service, and each Guest in your travel party with a My Disney Experience account and app can use this feature. Key to the World Cards are also complimentary and can be picked up at the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel or any Guest Relations location. 

    Okay, on to Memory Maker! I absolutely love adding this service to my visits to Walt Disney World Resort. Being able to download all of the photos, attraction videos, and Magic Shots taken during our stay is the perfect souvenir. You do not need a MagicBand or MagicBand+ to use this service. You can use a Key to the World Card or Disney MagicMobile Service to link your photos to your My Disney Experience account. The key card and MagicMobile will have a code that can be scanned by Disney PhotoPass Photographers. Pro tip: If you know you will be using Memory Maker during your stay, be sure to purchase it in advance. Advanced purchase of Memory Maker is available at a discounted price, which may mean a little extra room in your budget for Mickey Premium Bars and DOLE Whips.
