I'm surprising my kids and taking them to DW for 4 days. My hang up is that I don't know if I should buy regular tickets or tickets with the hopper pass...my kids are 10 and 6. Not sure if they'll last long enough to hop parks...any suggestions..THANK YOU

    Hi, Shanna!

Here is the really great thing about the park hopper when you have little ones.  (Or even teens/tweens like I have!)  Chances are really good that they are going to have a favorite park, and chances are that park is going to be the Magic Kingdom!  If mom and dad are really wanting to check out Epcot's beautiful World Showcase or go for some adventure on safari at Animal Kingdom, you can always venture back to Magic Kingdom after a nice mid-day break.    Or, flip it around and head to Epcot in the evening for a nice dinner then Illuminations after a morning at the Magic Kingdom.

Adding on the park hopper can definitely add to your budget, but it is a really nice option if you can swing it.  There is nothing to decide ahead of time.  You can add on this option at your Resort Concierge or any Guest Services window.  Remember though, if you are going to add it on, add it at the beginning of your trip to get the full benefit of hopping.

To keep your little ones going a bit longer each day, I suggest a stroller for your 6 year old (even if he/she does not use one at home, little legs get tired quickly!) and take a mid-day break with a nap or swim at your resort pool.  Your family will be rested and refreshed for a night of magic after your break. Also, plan ahead for meals with a Dining Reservation where you can relax and enjoy some down-time after running through the parks.  I always have some activities like crayons and books in my tote bag to keep my kids happy through meals.

I hope this helps!  Let me know if you need any more help deciding on your ticket selection. Good Luck!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
