I'm going on a "surprise" trip to Disney World in 3 weeks. I'm so afraid I'll spill the beans! Any tips for keeping such an exciting secret?

    Hello Corrina!

I love your question!Surprise trips to Walt Disney World are so much fun, I always shed tears watching home movies with different ways we have surprised my family with Disney trips. This is always such a hard secret to keep and I am usually bursting at the seems to let it out!I can't keep it a secret until we our on our way, so I typically tell everyone the night before.
If this isn't your first trip, one thing you can do is to talk about what things you would like to do on your next trip to Walt Disney World, this shouldn't be in an obvious way of course.  If you are afraid that you will spill the beans then I would suggest keeping a tight lip on anything Disney until you revel your surprise.  To keep from raising some suspicions when you start to pack, I always start a few weeks ahead of time.  I will make my lists and slowly start sneaking clothing and other items so that they won't see me packing.
If you are traveling with small children, I would come up with code words so that you can discuss your upcoming trip and not give away the surprise.  Just make sure theses code words have nothing to do with Disney.  Another way to keep from spoiling the surprise is to make up a cover trip story.  Just tell everyone that you are going to visit a relative or possibly that you've decided to take your next vacation to Amish country.  My children will be ready to run for the hills if they hear that one!  A small piece of advice, never leave any browsers open on your computer that have any details pertaining to your trip.I made this mistake one time and my very smug oldest son was suddenly in on the surprise.  He did get to revel in the fact that he knew before anybody else did.  I hope this helps with your surprise trip and please let us know if  you have anymore questions.Have a wonderful time planning your surprise!

    Best Wishes!
